Beskrivelse
Privacy Law: A U.S. Perspective provides learners with an overview of American privacy law from personal and governmental viewpoints. Key topics include a legal history of privacy, U.S. Constitutional issues, personal privacy concerns in the home, privacy issues in public, employer and employee privacy rights at work, and governmental monitoring (including Wikileaks and the Edward Snowden breaches). A discussion of privacy torts including intrusion, misappropriation, public disclosure of private facts, and false light is also included. Relevant federal statutes and case studies have been provided for key topics. Each chapter provides readers with a self-knowledge review, including a listing of key terms, discussion and review questions, and a practice test with answers.
